Véronique Descombes is president and owner of Active Media Group Inc. She pioneered interactive multimedia technology, e-learning and business intelligence projects, with more than 30 years in Puerto Rico, having workers with research and development, creative management, production, education and sales and marketing.
Over the years, she has served on several Boards of Directors and actively participates in social responsibility projects on a personal level and through his company, as well as for the associations and clients with whom they work, having been recognized as a volunteer of the year in Foundation for Puerto Rico in 2018 and volunteer of the year of Rafaela Ybarra Homes in 2013. Some of her achievements include an Excel Award from the Association of Professional Relations in 2010, an “Award for Best Digital Data” from the SME in 2017, Top Women in Technology of Caribbean Business in 2003, Founding Partner of the Internet Society of Puerto Rico and the SME Digital Committee, among others.
She was president of the Puerto Rico Sales and Marketing Association (SME), the Mexican Business Society in Puerto Rico and the Women's Fund Leadership Council.
She is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Rector of the University Ana G. Méndez Recinto de Gurabo and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Households Rafaela Ybarra.
Véronique has a bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from the Franco Mexicano Technological Institute, a Computer Systems Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) and continuing studies in educational technology, sales, marketing, leadership and certifications in the calculation of return investment (ROI) and Belbin teamwork roles.
